About the Programme

Building Stronger Communities Together

Lok Manch is a community-based platform that brings together tribal communities, local leaders, government officials, civil society organizations and other stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the lives of marginalized people.

It serves as a forum for dialogue, collective action and advocacy, enabling community members to voice their concerns and participate in decision-making processes. Through Lok Manch meetings, LITDS promotes awareness of government welfare schemes, social justice, education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities and community rights.

The platform strengthens community participation, encourages accountability among service providers and empowers tribal people to address local challenges collectively. By fostering collaboration and grassroots leadership, Lok Manch contributes to sustainable community development and social empowerment.

Director's Words

As the Director of LITDS, Katukapally, I have taken the responsibility of coordinating, monitoring and guiding the implementation of the LOKMANCH Project in Andhra Pradesh through LITDS, Katukapally.

LITDS, Katukapally serves as the main coordinating and monitoring organization for the LOKMANCH Project in the state. To strengthen implementation at the grassroots level, we work in collaboration with our partner organizations — K.D. PET, REDS, Ananthapuram, and ALERT, Maredumilly.

Under my responsibility, LITDS, Katukapally provides overall direction, coordination, monitoring and necessary support to these partner organizations. We work together to ensure that the objectives of LOKMANCH are effectively translated into action and that the project reaches the communities it is intended to serve.

Our collective efforts are focused on strengthening tribal communities, promoting rights and social justice, encouraging community participation, facilitating access to government entitlements, and supporting sustainable and inclusive development.

I believe that meaningful change is possible when organizations work together with a shared vision and commitment. Through LITDS and our partner organizations, we are committed to building stronger communities and creating opportunities for people to participate actively in their own development.
